FACEBOOK GIVEAWAY!

I'm doing my first giveaway!  I can't believe it, it's awesome!  I have 20 Likes on my Facebook page, and when I get 25, I can have a username for my shop's page!  So, in order to get there quicker, I'll give ANY ITEM from my shop to the 25th person to "Like" my shop!  Anything they want will be theirs!  And everyone else that has already Liked me will get a coupon code for 25% off any item!

How awesome is that!  I think it's a decent giveaway, don't you?  :D

New Listings

I really need to think about adding more listings, more often, so I think I'm going to list on specific days of the week.  Schedules really help me stay on track, after all.  My only problem is all the jewelry I have-it's all I have!  Buuuuut, I need to clear out the inventory, so...

Okay, I have news on upcoming listings as well!  Postcards!  My friend gave me the idea--I can't believe I didn't think of it first, LOL.  I have art that I'd love to sell, but the originals are all off-centered and then she told me, "Put them on a postcard!"  Wonderful, simply wonderful!  So, I printed a prototype on some cardstock to send off to her.  She lives close enough to hear a report in a few days, but far enough that the postcard'll see some travel.  If it gets to her unscathed, I'll be ready to list some!  If not, I'll have to get different paper and try again.  Keep in mind, if I sell a postcard, that WILL NOT be how I'll ship them!  This test is just to see if they're durable enough to be mailed, should a purchaser decide to do so.

FYI, whenever I make a new product, I always test it out to ensure ts quality!  I do that with all my jewelry, especially, and I can safely say that so far, nothing has been made poorly!  I'm quite proud of that fact!  I just would like to prove that fact with some more sales!

Relearning Can be Difficult

You know that saying "It's like riding a bike" when people refer to relearning something they thought they had forgotten?  Well, sometimes relearning can be difficult, just like sometimes riding a bike after not doing so for years can be difficult.  What do I mean?  Well...

I'm trying to relearn how to draw anime.  I love anime, I think it's just beautiful.  I used to draw and doodle anime characters so much that I actually got pretty good at it and even developed what I thought to be my own signature style.  See, the style usually comes through through the eyes of a character and I had created my own style of eyes that I was so proud of.  Well, after having kids I found less and less time to draw until for a few years I had absolutely no time at all.  Now, since they are both more independent and don't want to hang on Momm'ys every word, I have some time now and would love to be able to be good enough to sell, but...

I'm getting better, I can say that much.  I've been doodling pictures of my friends and that's helped quite a bit for me.  I'm hoping I can good enough to be sellable, though.  I'm also planning on trying to create anime style fairy paintings in the future, but I also have to get acquainted with painting.

So many thing I do in my shop come from straight from the learning process, and so as time goes on, I know things will start to look even better than they do now, because as I'm doing things, I'm learning from them and thus improving on them.  I just wish the improvement happened a little quicker.

New Listings!

In order to keep my shop updated and interesting, I've decided to add a few more jewelry listings!  There will be one or two braceletsm and maybe a necklace.  I plan on adding two items tomorrow, and one or two later on in the week.

It's not my goal to have a ton of jewelry listings, but honestly, right now, it's all I've got to list!  Well, that and photo prints.  I hope the items I choose will be enjoyed and maybe even purchased!  Here's to hoping!  ^_^

A Few Projects

I haven't listed anything in a little over a week, but that's really only because I'm having a hard time picking what to list next.  I have soooo much jewelry but I don't want to overrun the shop with just that kind of item.  I have photo prints, too, but again, I don't want to overlist those.  I've been thinking of other projects to do inorder to make new products for ths shop and I've come up with a few new ideas.

I'm going to be making beaded bookmarks!  I think they're so pretty, but they're always so overpriced at places like Borders and Barnes & Noble.  So, I'm going to make some, in varying sizes, but I think I'll list them as a made-to-order item.

I plan on making some throw pillow cases, too.  I adore home decor, so whatever I make will be in styles that match my own.  After all,  don't make what I wouldn't love to have/wear myself!  They won;t include the forms inside though-customers will have to supply those themselves.  It'll just make for easier pricing and shipping, is all.  ^_^

Ummmm, oh!  Paintings!  I don't know when I'll ever have some up, because my artistic skills are sooo rusty, but sooner than never, I'll have something up!  Acryllic paintings.  Probably just simple objects at first, but maybe some great-looking anime portraits in the future.  I'm a huge anime fan, so that's the art form I'm going to stick in the shop.  Oh, and sketches and ACEOs, as well.

Scrunchies!  I notice less and less people wearing them, so there probably won't be a whole lot, but I just need something to do with my fabric scraps, LOL.

Okay, I think that just about does it!  I don't exactly know for sure when these thinsg will be ready for listing, but they are in the works.  I'll keep the blog updated the best I can in the meantime!  ^_^

Welcome!

It's just how everybody starts their blog-with a welcome post!  ^_^  My name is Stacy and you've stumbled upon my blog for my Etsy shop, Stacy's Sundries.  I plan on using this blog for a great many things, so expect this place to be quite busy.  I make a lot of things in my shop, and I'm also learning new ways of making things because it's what I truly love to do.

I'll be posting progress on future projects here, what I'm currently teaching myself, and so on.  Also, there will be special giveaways and promotional offers here, so look out for those!  I'll have all kinds of links to other great shops and teams, and upcoming events that will be happening in the craft world, and whether or not I will be attending them.  I'll probably also be asking for a lot of advice on here, too from fellow Etsians.

So, in short, this place will be busy!  And, I thank you in advance for reading and for choosing to follow this blog--if that's what you came here to do!
